The next exhibit from the Grateful Dead Archive, entitled "Songs of Our Own: The Art of the Grateful Dead Phenomenon," will open in the library's Dead Central display space in a few weeks. Dead Central will be closed starting Monday, April 8, while we take down the current exhibit and install the next one. Check back with us for more news as we prepare this detailed look at some of the treasures in the Grateful Dead Archive. The more than 100 works of art comprising "Songs of Our Own" will showcase the extraodinary range of inspiration and creativity that has informed the Grateful Dead phenomenon for more than 45 years. From band members to artists like Rick Griffin and Stanley Mouse to a wide range of fans, "Songs of Our Own" traces how the band's cultural impact has been illustrated by a dazzling array of evocative art.
